Guernsey Choral & Orchestral Society
GCOS is a large mixed-voice choir, whose members share a love of singing and enjoy making music together in a friendly yet hardworking atmosphere. Rehearsals are taken by our new conductor Rachel Wright, who has an infectious enthusiasm for choral music. The Society stages major choral works, with the benefit of the GCOS orchestra, which involves both amateur and professional musicians. The choir and orchestra has built a reputation for high quality performances and give regular public concerts at Christmas and early summer, covering a wide range of music. The choir meets on Tuesday evenings - new singers and players are always welcome!
People
GCOS commitee meet regularly throughout the year, to keep things running. There are representatives from both the choir and orchestra, who help by organising publicity, trips, and accommodation for visiting musicians. Read more..
