Rachel Wright

Rachel Wright grew up in Guernsey
before studying at Trinity College of
Music and Institute of Education.
Rachel moved to the Sultanate of
Oman in 1999 where she was Director
of Music at The British School
Muscat. She returned to Guernsey in
2006 and has taught music at the
Guernsey Music Service since 2011.
As Head of Vocal Studies Rachel directs six choirs as part
of the Music Service including the Guernsey Girls Choir
and the Youth Choir. Recently Rachel has formed 'The
Wright Notes' an adult choir linked to the Friends of the
Guernsey Music Centre.
Rachel has also been part of the education strategy team
developing curriculum music across primary schools in
Guernsey and introducing the Musicianship Program for
prospective Music Service pupils.
